Since the calculated value (x2) 9.39 approximately is greater than the table value of 7.82 at level 0.05 of degree of freedom 3, the hypothesis is therefore rejected, which means there is significant difference in the performance of the students taught without instructional materials.
Hypothesis 2: There is no significant difference between the performance of male and female students taught with instructional materials.
From the above table, the calculated value (4.1958) is less than the table value (7.815), therefore the hypothesis which says: There is no significant difference between the performance of male and female students taught with instructional materials should accepted.
