      RESEARCH METHOD
          This chapter is meant and designed to give information on the process which the researcher took in finding out the relationship between class size and secondary school students academic performance in geography in Abeokuta – South Local Government Area of Ogun State.
          The method used to elicit information in his regards entails the following procedures:
      -    Research design
      -    Population
      -    Instrumentation
      -    Administration of the instrument
      -    Data Analysis Technique
      Research Design
      This research is of a survey type. It uses descriptive analysis though the aid of questionnaire to elicit opinion from the representative sample of the population in order to arrive at a meaningful conclusion, it also involves personal observation whereby the emphasis is placed on the sense of sight by looking.
      Population
          The observed subjects to be used for this study are the teachers selected from five secondary schools in Abeokuta – South Local Government Area of Ogun State.

      Instrumentation
          Self developed questionnaire was used to collect relevant information on the correspondents (that is teachers).
          The instrument is divided into two parts, that is A and B sections. Section A provides personal information on the respondents such as sex, marital status, religion, age, teaching experience, while the B part is sub-divided into four and each sub-section contain the statement of the problems.
          There are four different alternative responses to each statement and the respondent will be expected to thick the most appropriate one.
          That is:
      SA            Strongly Agree
      A            Agree
      D            Disagree
      SD            Strongly Disagree
      Administration of the Instrument
          The questionnaires were distributed personally by the researcher to the respondents who were randomly selected.
          Permission was taken from the authorities of the schools selected to offer necessary explanation to the respondents so as to enlighten them on the purpose of the study.
          The researcher assumed that there will be no right or wrong answers and that the questionnaire items were in no way corrected with their school assessment grades.
          To allow the respondents of the study to understand the item on questionnaire in its relations to its actual operation in the teaching and learning process.
          They were given sufficient time to complete the instrument and all the questionnaire forms distributed will be return properly filled, these were used for proper study. The excellent return and filling of the instrument could be attributed to the personal contact and confidential assurance given to the respondents by the researcher, also the good moral behaviour of various principals of the selected secondary school contributed immensely to the success of this study.
      Data Analysis Technique
          In order to analyse the data collected from the study, the total score of each respondent in each categories or groups of the respondents sample will be calculated.
          The total score of the responses will also be calculated. To test each hypothesis, Pearson correlation was used to compare the observed and expected frequencies of the perception by each category of respondents.
