1.0 GENERAL INTRODUCTION OR BACKGROUND OF THE STUDY
1.1 INTRODUCTION
Is training the bedrock of achieving organizational goal. This question in recent times has been surrounded by confusion due to the immeasurable virtuous of training as conceptual word which increases the quantity and quality of workers mental skills in an organization whether it is established on purely profit making or non-profit making. This further implies that training is the architect of effectiveness and efficiency in an organization. A myriad of large, medium and small scale business shave untimely collapsed unwittingly as a result of their sudden death. Training power is the weapon to conquer defectiveness, backwardness, ineffectiveness, inefficiency and maladministration in an organization.
Training will be understood as any learning activity which is directed towards the acquisition of specific knowledge and skills for the purpose of an occupation or task without exhausting too much of our time.
1.2 STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM
In every research one must encounter one problem or the others, like the popular saying “No pain, no gainâ€. Researchers encounter many problems on their way to carrying out a study. Problem arising from finance. Finance can not be ignored and it constitutes are of the major problems of research. Other problems are indispensable most interviewers are not always ready to disclose needed information. They are of the opinion may be one wants to expose their weakness to the press and many other unthinkable opinions.
1.3 PURPOSE/ OBJECTIVES OF THE STUDY
- To know how the organization plan for training and development
- To examine the importance of training and development to both employee and organization
- To know the problem facing the employee training and development in an organization
- To find a solution to the problem
- To know the historical background of Kwara state teaching services commission.
Another significant aim of this research is to sensitize business owners on why they should pick training as the only tool, in view to increase their productivity and effectively. This project has been conducted to providing lasting solution to ineffectiveness and inefficiency in an organization. This research is solely aimed at using training as the bedrock of achieving predetermined organizations.
1.4 SCOPE AND LIMITATION OF THE STUDY
The research study is, training: A guide to manpower development on an organization.
A case study of teaching service commission Ilorin. Due to the time factors, easy access to case study for information for the research.
