Hypothesis Four
There is no significant difference in the factors influencing juvenile delinquencies by respondents on the basis of Family type.
Table 6 shows that the calculated t-value is 3.39 while critical t-value is 1.96. Since the calculated t-value is more than the critical value, the null hypothesis, which states that there is no significant difference in the factors influencing juvenile delinquencies as expressed by the respondents on the basis of family type, is rejected showing that there is a significant difference in the factors influencing juvenile delinquencies as expressed by respondents on the basis of family type.
Summary of the Findings
The analysis of data on the study of factors influencing juvenile delinquencies as expressed by juvenile delinquents in Borstal Training Institute Ganmo, Ilorin, Kwara State revealed that parents not paying adequate attention to their children is the major factors influencing juvenile delinquencies, followed by the lack of parental care.
Equally, the results of the analysis on the hypotheses revealed that there was no significant difference on the factors influencing juvenile delinquencies as expressed by juvenile delinquents on the basis of sex and age. However, there was a significant difference on the factors influencing juvenile delinquencies on the basis of religion and family types.
