Recommendations
The findings of this study hold premises for the counselling profession as well as corporate organizations, Government and Non-Government Organization (NGOs), individuals parents, churches and mosques, heads of clans, chiefs kings and queens, Obas, Emirs, Obis etc.
Counsellors need to be employed to counsel and give good orientation to young children on the need to be self sufficient with the little they have rather than wishing to voraciously acquire material things through this unholy means.
Just as awareness is been created in areas such as acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome (AIDs), teenage pregnancy, family planning techniques etc., there should be strong enlightenment programmes on the issue of child trafficking. It should be incorporates into the primary, secondary and higher education curriculum. This will help in teaching those young children who may be nursing the idea. Children are very clever and they even understand faster than the adults on issue like child trafficking, hence they should be adequately engaged in profitable ventures rather than illicit business.
The government at all level should cultivate the habit of creating job for the jobless youths because an idle hand, they say, is the devils workshop more enlightenment should be intensified through the public media on the dangers of been involved in child trafficking.

The scope of his study can be extended beyond its present focus. As the present researcher worked on causes and consequences of child trafficking as perceived by adult persons in Ilorin metropolis, future researcher should extend it to cover the entire state. It could be as perceived by some state in the country or as perceived or as reported by adult persons in Nigeria. With this, the findings of the research could reveals differences in the perception of respondents to various geographical areas like the North, West, south and Eastern state could have different perceptions to the causes and consequences of child trafficking in Nigeria.
This study has examined causes and consequences of child trafficking by adults person in Ilorin metropolis on the variables of gender, family type, religion and educational background. So, geographical area should be included in future studies of future researchers on causes and consequences of child trafficking to test if there will be significant difference in the perception of the respondents on the basis of their geographical area.
