Summary of Findings
The major concern of the investigation was to find out the need for guidance and counselling services in primary schools as perceived by primary school teachers in Ilorin metropolis, Kwara State. Four (4) null hypotheses were generated and tested using t-test statistical method and analysis of variance (ANOVA). In the light of the result of the analysis, the following major findings emanated:
Guidance and counselling service are needed most at the primary school level to perform effective in schools.
There is no significant difference between the perception of male and female primary school teacher on the need for guidance and counselling service in primary school.
There is no significant difference among the primary school teacher in their perception of the need for guidance and counselling services for primary school based on their educational qualification.
There is no significant difference among the perception of Christianity, Muslim and other religions group primary school teachers on the need for guidance and counselling service in primary schools.
There is no significant difference among the primary school teachers in their perception of the need for guidance and counselling service in primary school based on their years of teaching experience.
