Hypotheses Four:
There is no significant difference in the perception of the factors responsible for sexual abuse among respondents on the basis of age.
The result on table 10 indicates that the calculated f-value of 2.40 is less than the critical f-value of 3.00. Therefore, hypothesis four which states that “there is no significant difference in the perception of the factors responsible for sexual abuse among respondents on the basis of age†is accepted because no significance was found.
Summary and Findings
This chapter deals with the analysis of the data gathered from the study which were analysed in the three parts, viz: demographic data, item by item an analysis and hypotheses testing. Table 1 – 4 revealed the demographic data in such areas as; distribution of respondents according to Gender, faculties, religion, level, age and marital status. Table 5 is a descriptive data relating to respondents by the items on the questionnaire.
All the four hypotheses formulated for the study were tested for acceptance or rejection at 0.05 level of significance by means of t-test and Analysis of Variance (ANOVA), of the four formulated hypotheses; three was accepted while one was rejected. The result is follows:
1. There is no significant difference in the expression of the factors responsible for sexual abuse among students of College of Education, Abeokuta.
2. There is no significant difference in the expression of factor responsible for sexual abuse among the respondents on the basis of religion.
3. Therefore, there is significance difference in the expression of the factor responsible for sexual abuse among students from different levels of College of Education, Abeokuta.
4. There is no significant difference in the expression of the factors responsible for sexual abuse among respondents on the basis of age.
