    • Implication of findings
The finding of this study revealed that:
Agreed that social factors were ranked as the first major factor responsible for females involvement in drug use. Social factors include such factors as: “they want to prevent or abort pregnancy and the exposure through advertisements such on television newspaper, radio billboards etc”. The implication of these findings is that more females’ youths will engage in drug use because of the rate they are involved in sexual activities and so are likely to use drugs to prevent or abort pregnancies. Based on the findings, the governmental all tiers ban advertisement of drugs on television, radio, newspaper etc. and stop exports and imports of hard drugs into the country.
Personal factors was ranked as the second major or factors responsible for females involvement in drug use. Personal factors include factors such as “they are ignorant of its side effect and they went to keep awake for long while reading”. This implies that most young females’ are aware of the consequence and ignorant of its effect. The guidance counsellor all over the country should organize seminars, workshop at secondary and tertiary level of education to enlighten people especially young females’ student of the consequence of drugs use or drug abuse and to develop a good study habits.
Psychological factor was ranked as third factor responsible for females’ involvement in drug use. Psychological factor such as “to boost their ego, sexually active and to overcome their inferiorly complex”. This has a lot of implication for guidance counsellor, there is the need to organize enlightenment programme regularly for youths especially the females who had been exposed to drug use. Rehabilitation programmes can also be introduced to rehabilitate drug abuse.
The fourth factor is family factor and it was ranked as the least factor responsible for females involvement in drugs use. Such include “as to get over family problems”, “negative relationship between parent and daughter” and “they are from rich background”. The implications for guidance counsellor are to organize enlightenment programme for all parents especially the mothers who have native relationship with their children and mothers who have been experience violence in their family, how they can make adjustment before it get beyond control. The counsellor can organize programme during parent teachers meeting and government can sponsor guidance programmes on television radio, newspaper to enlightening the whole society the effects and consequences of drug use or abuse.

      Recommendations
Based on the finding of this study, the following recommendations are made:
One basic recommendation is the key to control drug abuse is to reduced the demand for drugs, therefore, prevention and education should be the main focus. The Untied States has been that law enforcement programme have done little to keep illicit drugs out of the country, to divert the interest and attention of young people from the “glamour” of the drug culture or to arrest the chronic use of drugs in the adult population.
Drugs use must be addressed in the context of a range of factors or problems that threaten young people and their families such as health hazard. Since school-age children are especially vulnerable to drug use. The major thrust of education prevention effort must be directed to school age children and their families.
Parents and parent group must be involved in education and prevention, as they are especially effective in preventing the use of drug by school-age children, guidance and counselling units should be established at all levels of education.
Accurately and edible information about the effect of drugs use be readily available. The proper role of the Federal Government is to provide leadership encouragement and support.
The school counselling programmes mounted by professionally trained school counsellors should be encouraged by the schools. School counsellor should employ extensive use of individuals as well as group counselling group counselling for the treatment of identified drug users in the school parent and or family involvement is also very important in order to be able to focus on the underlying problem in the family. This however depends on whether the adolescent really want to change and has the family support in this regard.
Adegoke (2003) suggested that behavioural approaches should be included in all drug intervention programmes by the school counsellor. These approaches may take the form of behaviour modification. However, regardless of the approach the basic elements usually are included.
      1.    Confrontation
      2.    Accurate education
      3.    Assertiveness training
      4.    Affirming positive resource states
      5.    Self monitoring
      6.    Peer cluster involvement
Also to prevent females’ involvement in drug use, a potential strategy in the fight against/drug abuse is providing attractive to the use of drugs. If the desire to change ones consciousness must be met, it can be met through self constructive and creative means, which also enhance self-esteem and self actualization. This can only be achieving through the guidance counsellor.
      Suggestion for Further Studies
On the basis of the findings of this study, the research hereby suggests the following areas for future research studies.
      1.    This study investigated the undergraduate of University of Ilorin on their perception of factors responsible for females’ involvement in drug use similar study and therefore be conducted to involve both undergraduate and post graduates.
      2.    The study was conducted among students of University of Ilorin only, similar study could therefore be conducted on all the tertiary institutions in Kwara State.
      3.    Drug abuse problems among secondary students.
