Hypothesis 3: There is no significant difference in the influence of polygamy and the behaviour patterns of in-school adolescents as expressed by secondary school teachers on the basis of marital status
Table 8 present data on the mean, standard deviation and t-value of respondents’ on the basis of marital status. The table shows that the calculated t-value of 1.16 is less than the critical t-value of 1.98 at 0.05 level of significance. On this basis, the null hypothesis which states that there is no significant difference in the influence of polygamy and the behaviour patterns of in-school adolescents as expressed by secondary school teachers on the basis of marital status is accepted.
Hypothesis 4: There is no significant difference in the influence of polygamy on the behaviour patterns of in-school adolescents as expressed by secondary school teachers on the basis of educational qualification.
Table 9 presents data on the Analysis of Variance of respondents’ on the influence of polygamy on the behaviour patterns of respondents on the basis of educational qualification. The table shows that the calculated F-value 0.93 is less than the critical F-value 3.00 at 0.05 level of significance. Therefore the null hypothesis which states that there is no significant difference on the influence of polygamy and the behaviour patterns of in-school adolescents as expressed by secondary school teachers on the basis of educational qualification accepted.
