The table above shows that the critical r-value (0.0649) was lesson than the calculated r-value (0.960) at the degree of freedom of 98 and alpha level of significance of 0.05 the hypothesis is hereby rejected indicating that the teachers’ year of training has significant impact on students’ academic performance in mathematics. From the analysis the mean value (18.12) for the experimental group is greater than that of the control group thus; students taught by teachers with longer years of training performed better than their counterpart from control group (16.41).
