      Introduction
This chapter is designed to present the method adopted for the study.
It includes research design, population, samples and sampling technique, research instrument, procedure for data collection, and procedure for data analysis.
      Research Design
The research design for this study is the descriptive survey. The method is adopted because it focuses on collection of information for the purpose of describing and analysing the existing condition of teachers’ behavioural problems among head-teachers in primary school.
The adoption of this particular method will enable the researcher to get first hand information, about the causes of teachers’ behavioural problems and their management among head-teachers in Ilorin West local government area of Kwara State.
      Population for the Study
Primary school teachers constituted the population for the study, according to Deramola (1991), population are a boundary that stipulates who shall be involves in a research study. Therefore the target population for this study is all the primary school teachers in Ilorin West Local Government Area Primary Schools.
      Sample and Sampling Techniques
In choosing the sample for this study, a simple Random sampling method was used to select. Ten schools of all the sixteen primary schools in Ilorin West Local Government Area of Kwara State.
In selecting the subject (respondents) for each of the ten schools a random sampling method well employed to select teachers that consists both junior and senior cares. About fifty-eight male and forty-two female teachers participate in the study. The total numbers of respondents were one hundred.
      Instrumentation
The instrument is personally designed by the research to suit the testing research questions formulating earlier on their research instrument adopted for this research work.
The questionnaire in tagged causes and management of teacher’s behaviour questionnaire “(CMTBQ)”. It is be divided into sections A and B. section A contains personal information of the respondents such as sex, age and home background while section B contains the items surveying causes of misbehaviours and management in schools respondent responses and scoring are of strongly Agree (4) Agree (3) Disagreed (2) and strongly disagree.
      Validity of the instrument
Validity refers to the ability of an instrument or a text to measure what is expected to measure. Therefore, to determine the validity of this instrument the draft questionnaire were given to experts the project supervisor and test experts.
Their comments and observations would be incorporated to fashion out a new draft before the final administration of the questionnaire to the respondents.
      Reliability of the Instrument
The reliability of the questionnaire was established to observe if the questionnaire gave the same result at all time it is used. The questionnaire was administered to 5 school administrators (not from sampled school) twice at an interval of three (3) weeks. The two results were correlated using Pearson Production Moment Correlation and giving a coefficient of 0.73. This suggests that the instrument is reliable.
      Procedure for Data Collection
The researchers visited sample schools to administered the copes of the questionnaire. This enables them to check for any omission in ticking questionnaire and help to have high percent returns of the questionnaire.
      Data Analysis Techniques
The technique used in data analysis was through frequency counts and percentages. This was done using item by item analysis to test the research questions.
