Summary of Findings
The analysis of the data clearly shows that child abuse have adverse effect on the academic performance of student’s, these consequences ranges from psychological to mental, emotional and physical. The results of the four null hypotheses tested revealed that gender, religion, teaching experience and subject area did not influence the perception and of respondents on consequences of child abuse on students academic performance. By implication the four null hypotheses were accepted.
What this further means is that the outcome of the research is reliable and valid towards drawing a conclusion that child abuse have adverse effect on students physical, psychological, mental and emotional development resulting in their poor academic performance.
