In addition, curriculum planners would benefit from the findings which may call for a review of related curriculum. Also, the findings of the study would be useful to future researchers who may be interested in carrying out related studies on students’ behaviour.
1.7 Purpose of the Study
The general purpose of the study is to find out the causes of unruly behaviour among the secondary school students in Oyo East Local Government Of Oyo State. The specific purposes are to;
1. Investigate the relationship between students’ unruly behaviour and academic performance of students’ in secondary.
2. Determine the relationship between students’ unruly behaviour and students’ gender.
3. Find out the relationship between students’ unruly behaviour and of the students’ in public school.
4. Investigate the relationship between students’ unruly behaviour and students’ low family background.
1.8 Definition of Terms
For the purpose of clarity and proper understanding on the part of the reader, some terms used in this research project are defined below;
Behaviour: this refers to as the way in which an individual acts.
Unruly behaviour: This refers to a way of behaving, manners, treatment shown towards others.
Discipline: This refers to a way of behaving that shows a willingness to obey rules or orders.
Adolescent: This refers to a young person who is developing into an adult.
Parent: This refers to one that begets or brings forth offspring.
School : This refers to an institution for the teaching of children.
