RESULTS
Introduction
This chapter deals with results of data collected from the field. The study investigated the consequences of premarital sexual activities among secondary school students in Ilorin – West Local Government Area, Kwara State.
The demographic data were analyzed using frequency counts and percentages while t-test and Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) were used to test the research hypotheses.
Descriptive Data
This section presents the results of the data obtained from the study in frequency counts and percentages. The presentation reveals the distribution of respondents by the variables on the questionnaires which are gender, age, religion and type of school. This is shown in the tables that follows.
Table 1 shows distribution of respondents by gender. The table indicates that 64 respondents representing (32%) are males while 136 respondents representing (68%) are females.
Table 2 shows distribution of respondents by age. The table indicates that 11 – 14 years, 68 respondents (34%) were between 15 – 18 years while 101 respondents (50.5%) were of 19 years and above.
