According to Awolola (2001) a measuring instrument is valid when it
measure, truly and accurately the quality and ability one wants it to
measure. Thus, in validating this instrument, both face and content
validity of the instrument were carried out by three (3) experts in
field of education and researchers supervisor who made a thorough
scrutiny which culminated in the production of the find draft.
Reliability of the Instrument
Reliability it refers to the degree to which a test yields consistent
scores when it’s administered over a number of times. The reliability of
the instrument was established by the use of test re-test method in the
same set of 20 students who are not member of the sampled respondents.
Pearson product moment correlation co-efficient was used which yielded a
significant correlational index of 0.88.
Procedure for Data Collection
The questionnaire was administered on face to basic to be students, to
make sure that there is no misplacement of the questionnaire. To ensure
effective administration the modalities for its complexion were clearly
specious. The respondents were expected to adhere to instructions and
seek for explanations were necessary.
Method of Data Analysis
The instrument used in this study was a fifteen questionnaire. The
data collected were subjected to percentage and mean rating, in order to
answer the research questions raised in this study.
The t-test and analysis of variable (ANOVA) statistics were used to test the hypotheses generated.
