Hypothesis 4: There is no significant difference in the perception of secondary school students on causes of delinquent behaviour on the basis of religion.
Table 9 shows t-test analysis on perception of secondary school students on causes of delinquent behaviour on the basis of religion. It revealed from the table that the calculated t-value of 2.771 is greater than the table value of 1.96 at 0.05 alpha value of significance with a degree of freedom of 198. Since this is the case, the null hypothesis is rejected. This implies that there is significant difference in the perception of secondary school students on causes of delinquent behaviour on the basis of their religion.
Summary of Findings
The major findings of this study based on the four (4) hypotheses are summarized as follows:
(1) There is significant difference in the perception of secondary school students on causes of delinquent behaviour on the basis of their age.
(2) There is significant difference in the perception of secondary school students on causes of delinquent behaviour on the basis of their class level.
(3) There is significant difference in the perception of secondary school students on causes of delinquent behaviour on the basis of their gender.
(4) There is significant difference in the perception of secondary school students on causes of delinquent behaviour on the basis on their religion.
