RESULTS
Introduction
This chapter presents the results of the study, which were obtained from the analysis of the data collected. The study purposely investigated the expression of students in Offa Local Government Area of Kwara State on the influence of birth order and gender on students’ academic achievement in secondary schools. The demographic data were analysed using frequency counts and percentages while the test and Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) statistical methods were used to test the research hypotheses.
Demographic Data
This section presents the results of the data obtained from the study in frequency counts and percentages. The presentation revealed the distribution of respondents by the variables on the questionnaire, which are gender, age, marital status, year of experience and religion. This is contained in table 1.

On the distribution of respondents by gender, age, marital status, year of experience and religion. Table 1 reveals that 93(46.5%) of the respondents are female. This shows that the majority of the respondents were female. The result shows that 68(34.0%) of the respondents were between 20 and 30 years; 88(440%) of the respondents were between 31 – 40 years; while 44(22.0%) were 41 years and above. This shows that the majority of the respondents were between 31 and 40 years. The result of analysis shows that 117(58.5%) of the respondents were married; while 83(41%) of the respondents were single. This shows that the majority of the respondents were married. The result of the analysis shows that 78(39%) of the respondents have below 5 years; while 122(61.0%) of the respondents have between 6 years and above. This shows that the majority of the respondents have between 6 years and above. Lastly, the result of the analysis shows that 19(9.5%) of the respondents were traditional believers; 118(59.0%) of the respondents were Christian; while 63(31.5%) are Muslims. This shows that the majority of the respondents were Christians.
