Hypothesis Four
There is no significant difference in the influence of birth order and gender on students’ academic achievement as perceived by respondents on the basis of years of experience.
Table 6 shows that the calculated t-value is 1.32, while the critical t-value is 1.96. Since the calculated t-value is less than the critical t-value, the null hypothesis which states that there is no significant difference in the influence of birth order and gender on students’ academic performance as perceived by respondents on the basis of years of experience is accepted. This implies that there is no significant difference in the influence of birth order and gender on students’ academic achievement as perceived by respondents on the basis of years of experience.
Hypothesis Five
There is no significant difference in the influence of birth order and gender on students’ academic achievement as perceived by respondents on the basis of Religion.
Table 7 shows that the calculated f-ratio of 1.59 is less than the critical f-ratio of 3.00 at 0.05 level of significance. Therefore, the null hypothesis which states that there is no significant difference in the influence of birth order and gender on students academic achievement as perceived by respondents on the basis of religion is accepted. This implies that there is no significant difference in the influence of birth order and gender on students’ academic performance/achievement as perceived by respondent on the basis of religion.
