    • Certain enzymes level such as creating phosphokinase) and detection in the blood of victim of specific venom. Antigen (biodectative method). Using immunologically based techniques. It is the latter point which is one of the
Main subjects of this review together with the application of other immunological techniques for use in venom research such as then objective assessment of the effectiveness of new and existing anti venoms.
iii.    BIODETECTION METHODS: Over the years, a number of immunologically based assay systems have been applied to the detection of specific venom and also to the detection of specific venom antibodies. These include:
      •    Immune-diffusion
      •    Immunofluorecence
      •    Hemogglutination
      •    Immunoelectrophoresis.
      •    Radio-immunoassay.(RIA)
      •    Enzymes linked immunoabsorbentassay (ELISA/EIA) and optical immunological assay as well as the possible future application of PCR and antibody micro arrays in this respect.
However, the above Biodection methods were to detect:-
      a.    Immunodiffusion: used to defect the venoms from four  Nigerian snakes in wound aspirates, blister fluid, sera and urine samples from envenomed patients
      b.    Immunoflourescence: used to defect specific venom in tissue samples but not in the body fluid, This was developed for the defection of venom with a defection sensitivity of 5-long/M/ within a 3hr assay time
      c.    Immunoelectrophoresis: was also used but was found to be unlikely practical in the routine assay of venom and venoms antibodies owing to the high levels of common precipitating bands between venoms and antibodies of closely related species.
      d.    Radioimmuno assay: used to detect venom in the serum of envenomed animals and patients but although highly sensitive, the method proved to be unpractical in patients as well as very expensive and requiring specialize and elaborate reading equipment for measuring isotope levels
in addition to the problems related to the short, half life of[25]. This was used primarily as research tools
      2.10 MEDICAL TREATMENT.
The primary goals of treatment is to eradicate the infection and severity of envenomation, it is divided into filed care and hospital management.
First aid steps you can take after a snake bite occurs include clearing the wound, remaining calm and immobilizing the affected area.  However it is essential to get to a medical facility immediately for emergency treatment. If treated in time, the outlook for recovery is good.
