CHAPTER THREE
RESEARCH METHODOLOGY
3.1 Research Design
The study would adopt correlation research design. The choice of this design was informed by Uyanne (2015) who stated that correlational study estimate the degree of relationship between variables under study and a cause-effect relationship. It enables a researcher to discover relationship between events with a view of explaining important human behaviour and in some cases predicting and controlling likely outcomes. Therefore, the appropriateness of this design stems from the fact that this study would deal with relationship between information accessibility, knowledge acquisition and management and transfer system among traditional herbal medical practitioners in South West, Nigeria.
3.2 Population of the Study
The population for this study would comprise of 4,408 herbal medical practitioners in the six states which constitutes South West Geo political Zone in Nigeria. The table below illustrated population of herbal medical practitioners in South West Zone in Nigeria.
