The study is made up of  three objectives which are which To examine xenophobic attacks in South frica and Nigeria’s afrocentric foreign policy,
      To analyze the historical background to Nigeria-South Africa relations and to o investigate the impact of xenophobic attacks on Nigeria-South Africa relations. The study also adopts political realism as its theoretical framework. This study takes the position that Nigeria’s foreign policy should be reviewed from her afrocentric posture, to gaurantee the protection of her interests specifically the lives of her citizens in diaspora.
