CHAPTER FOUR
PRESENTATION, ANALYSIS OF DATA AND DISCUSSION
This study focused on the Assessment of Secondary Schools Students Enrolment of Islamic Studies in SSC Examination in Abeokuta. The study highlighted three research questions and adopted a descriptive analysis of mean to provide answers to them. Also, three hypotheses were formulated for the study and were tested using Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) statistics. This chapter therefore presents answers and discussions on the research questions raised and the results of the analysis of the data gathered from the hypotheses generated to guide the study.
Hypothesis Testing
There are three hypotheses set to guide the study. Analysis of variance (ANOVA) statistics was use to test all the hypotheses at 0.05 level of significance.
Ho1: There is no significant difference on the interest of students and enrolment of Islamic Studies in SSC Examination
To test this hypothesis, Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) statistic method was used.
Table 1
ANOVA showing the difference on Interest of Students and Enrolment of Islamic StudiesTable 1 shows the F-value calculated of 4.033 is greater than critical F-value of 3.00. Since the calculated F-value is greater than the critical F-value, therefore, the hypothesis is rejected. Hence, there was significant difference on the interest of students and enrolment of Islamic Studies in SSC Examination.
