    • Research Question: What are the roles of Muslim organizations in the development of Islamic education in Ilorin West Local Government Area, Kwara State?


      Table 2 shows that 17 out of the 20 items were agreed upon by the respondents as part of the roles of Muslim organization in the development of Islamic education in Ilorin west LGA. This is indicated by the fact that the 17 items have mean scores that are above the average (benchmark) mean value of 2.50 for determining the most significant roles of Muslim organization. However, all these cannot be reported as the findings of this study; hence, the top three ranked items, that is, 1st, 2nd and 3rd will be reported as the findings of the study. In view of this, items 3, 1 and 9 with mean values of 3.38, 3.33 and 3.12 respectively are indicative of the roles of Muslim organization in Islamic education development. The items identified establishment of Islamic schools where Muslim children can obtain religious and western education; awarding of scholarship to outstanding students to further their education both in Nigeria and abroad particularly in the Muslim countries; and propagating Islam through public lectures and publications as the major roles of Muslim organizations in the development of Islamic education in Ilorin West LGA, Kwara State.
