    • Conclusions
      Based on the findings of this study, it was concluded that:
      1.    There is a justification for establishment of Islamic Schools where Muslim children can obtain religious and western education, awarding of scholarship to outstanding students to further there education both in Nigeria and abroad particularly in the Muslim countries, and propagating Islam through public lectures and publication are the major role of Muslim  organization in the development of Islamic education in Ilorin West Local Government  Kwara State
      2.    There is significant influence of financial role of Muslim organizations in the development of Islamic education in Ilorin West LGA.
      3.    There is significant influence of teachers’ building capacity role of Muslim organizations in the development of Islamic education in Ilorin West Local Government
      4.    There is significant influence of organization of Islamic programmes as a role of Muslim organizations in the development of Islamic education in Ilorin West Local Government
      5.    There is significant influence of organization of provision of educational facilities as a role of Muslim organizations in the development of Islamic education in Ilorin West Local Government
      6.    There is significant influence of Muslim organisations involvement in curriculum design in the development of Islamic education in Ilorin West Local Government
      Recommendations
      Based on the findings of the study, it was recommended that:
      1.    Muslim organisations should intensify effort in their financial capacity by establishing more Islamic oriented schools, providing more scholarship awards for Muslim students and creating a conducive learning environment for Muslim students; thereby, contributing more to the development of Islamic education.
      2.    Muslim organisations should help in setting minimum standard for teachers of Islamic education. for example, Islamic education teacher should be a trained individual with at least NCE or Degree certificate in Islamic Education Studies so that they can impact positively in students; thereby, contributing to the development of Islamic education in Ilorin west LGA.
      3.    Muslim organisations should solicit for the inclusion of Islamic education in the Nigeria Educational Policy as part of the prerequisite subjects for the Muslim students so that they can understand their religion better; thus, improving the values of Islamic education in Nigeria.
      4.    Muslim organisations should on a regular basis collaborate to continue organising programmes, workshops or conferences to enlighten education stakeholders on relevance of Islamic education to lifestyles of the Muslims and its significance towards achieving success in western education; thereby, contributing positively to the development of Islamic education in Ilorin West LGA.
      Suggestions for Further Studies
      This study investigated the roles of Muslim organisations in the development of Islamic education in Ilorin West LGA. The study examined five major areas of finance, teacher’s capacity building, organisation of Islamic programmes, provision of educational facilities and involvement in curriculum design. For further researchers who might be interested in the same field of study, they should thus:
      1.    investigate the knowledge and relevance of ICT to the teaching of Islamic education, seeking the opinion of Islamic education teachers in secondary schools in Ilorin metropolis.
      2.    extend the research of this nature to cover a wide geographical location, such as Kwara state, or a geo-political zone in Nigeria.
      3.    increase the sample size for the study in order to increase the generalisability of the findings.
