Libraries help to institution to achieve their goals and the fulfillment of the enormous task is depend on the adequate funding of the libraries to ensure the realization of the goals and objectives of the libraries.
In fact, the issue of funding medical libraries has been a typical for virtually everyone engages in the education. Against the background of the state of funding as it affected federal medical centre, Owerri was reviewed with the view of identifying problems encounter there in.
For mark of specificity, this research is divided into five chapters
Chapter one examines the evolution of medical libraries in Nigeria the general objectives aims and purpose of the study, scope of study, assumption of the study and library under study.
Chapter two deals with literature review; Chapter there examines the methodology of the present research.
Chapter four deals with the data collected from the questionnaire analyzed and discussed.
Chapter five took care of the conclusion and recommendations for the improvement of the deplorable situation of funding of the library under study.
Finally, there are also reference bibliographic and appendix.

1903 by the colonial masters. At the period, the hospital has three
wards; maternity, male and female wards which also admitted children,
other available facilities at the hospital in 1903 include a theater,
