CONCLUSION AND RECOMMENDATION
6.1 CONCLUSION
In the designing and fabrication of this project, titled the design and fabrication of domestic refrigerator using mild steel as water resisting cabinet, the design is economic and technological soundness when taking into consideration; the durability and the behavior of the material used under the application were also put into consideration.
The principles of thermodynamic were taken into consideration which is the basic principle of this project, i.e. Refrigeration cycle. Special attentions were taken in the assembly of the parts of the cold storage room e.g. insulation and, cooling of the evaporator so as to prevents leakage. The design is simple and hence material selection become useful and affordable for cold storage purposes.
6.2 RECOMMENDATION
To provide lasting solution to a particular problem through course work (project of this type, the likelihood of generating more problems or the possibility of being confronted with one problem or another cannot be overruled 1 however, the following points is carefully taken care of to ensue that more problems are not birthed in attempt to improve the system.
i. Relevant tools and materials should be made available at affordable price for practical oriented design purpose.
ii. For the sake of project work of this type, library and workshop facilities should be made readily available to ease research work and to improve the technical knowledge of some machine.
iii. The authority should embark on thorough supervision through record of attendance, suppliance of technical information, proper scoring of project report etc. to ensure full participation by all students.
iv. Hands must be on desk to ensure/aid the procurement of the prescribed refrigerant e.g. isobutene since it is the only improvement on the unit.
v. Effort should be made to appreciate .the technical knowledge and time devoted for supervision i.e. the lecturers, by the management.
