      GENERAL DESCRIPTION AND IT”S WORKING PRINCIPLE
      It consist of a hopper, double crack lever mechanism an oscillating sector with sieve bottom and motor all fixed on a frame. A number of cast iron peg assemblies are fitted in the oscillating sector and the fixed perforated concave screen. The decorticated sheller and kernel fall downward through perforated concave sieve. The kernel are collected through the spot at the bottom, the shell are throw away after the operation from
      DESCPIRTION OF COMPONENT PART OF THE MACHINE
      Decorticator machine: is the machine used to remove the kernel from the groundnut pods. There are two common principle used. The principle are
      1.    The rotary type and Semi rotary
      3.1.1 THE ROTARY TYPE
      The rotary decorticator machine work in principle, in a way similar to a career thresher, except that it run at low or high speed and has different specific clearances between the moving mechanized and stationary parts. It usually has a slower attachment to remove the shell from the decorticated pods.
      SEMI ROTARY TYPE
      In this type of shelling machine, a beater with low spikes or peg is made to swing “TO and FRO” .Destination occurs by the rubbing action of the swinging beater against the bottom concave and the kernels and shell pass through the slots to be separated later.
          The size of the slot varies according to the variety of groundnut and it is possible to change the bottom concave. Plate to put in one with correct slot size for a particular variety of groundnut.
          The beater concave clearance can also be set at different valves according to the variety of groundnut being handled. The project works on the principle of the semi rotary type
          The complete groundnut shelling machine consist of the following components.
      a.    The slots of the shelling machine in which the shelled groundnut and the shaft passes through
      b.    The mechanism which consist of the hand, spikes welded to drill bar to which size, if the spikes and the barging cast steel drilled also tightened with the help of bolt and nut to hold into shape
      c.    The main body
      d.    The main frame table
      e.    The blower that blow away the pods.
