This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of the community-based family planning program in Boji Boji Owa Ika North East LGA, Delta State, Nigeria. The study utilized the descriptive research method and conducted a survey to explore the research questions. The study found that the target population has some level of awareness of the community-based family planning program, and the program has had a positive impact on the uptake of family planning services. However, challenges such as lack of awareness and knowledge, inadequate funding, cultural/religious beliefs and practices, inadequate health personnel, and inadequate facilities and supplies were identified as factors that may hinder the successful implementation of the program. The chi-square test was used to test the hypotheses, and the results showed a significant relationship between the level of awareness and knowledge of the community-based family planning program and the target population. There was also a significant increase in the uptake of family planning services after the implementation of the program, and the presence of challenges and factors that may hinder the successful implementation of the program was identified. Based on these findings, it is recommended that continued efforts be made to improve awareness and knowledge of family planning programs, address cultural and religious beliefs, secure adequate funding, and improve the availability of health personnel and facilities. Additionally, students and researchers are advised to improve time management skills, seek help when needed, and practice self-care to ensure academic success. Keywords: community-based family planning program, awareness, uptake, challenges, effectiveness
