5.0 CONCLUSION AND RECOMMENDATION
5.1 CONCLUSION
The need to test rock in order to determine their physical and mechanical properties cannot be overemphasized .However , laboratory testing procedures and equipment may be required to do this for engineering project .Hence, the Schmidt rebound hammer (RN) has being used by many researchers to measure the strength and other engineering properties of rocks. This usually enables a quick and easy means of measurement.
Marble being a metamorphic rocks that forms w hen limestone is subjected to the heat and pressure of metamorphism, is very important in Nigerian, characteristically, it is defined by is mineralogy and geological structure. It is essentially a composite rock that is widely used and applied in Nigerian, especially for construction purposes.
5.2 RECOMMENDATION
Based on this research, it is therefore recommend that further researches should be carried out to enhance better understanding about the suitability of Oreke marble deposit for industries purpose.
