      5.0    DISCUSSION OF FINDING
This research was carried out to find out the adolescents perception towards Nursing as a career among S.S.S 3 Students of selected Senior Secondary Schools in Ilorin.
The discussion of findings is based on primary data in which questions were developed on the well-structured questionnaire and distributed to 60 students in selected secondary school in Ilorin which was all retrieved and analyzed.
The study reveals that 27% the respondent agreed that anybody in white dress working in hospital or clinic is a professional nurse, 30% beliefs that any care giver in the hospital  is professional nurse while 43% of respondent agree that a person who is clearly registered by is professional is a professional nurse this increase that less than average number of the respondent know who is a professional which is in line with the study of spindole etal 2006 that way school students indicate that the student associate the nurse figure to the assist function and they visualize nurse as an auxiliary of the physical.
The result also revealed that 100% of the respondents were of knowledge that nurses work in the hospital only. This is met in agreement with meganRuesink (2015) who mentioned eleven (11) places where a registered nurse can work some of which are schools, camps industries emplane. Convert law war zones and military base. The respondents generally shows a positive perception or nursing as found in this study in which 83% of the respondents did not agree that nurses are always local and not recognized in the society, this finds its support in Alexander (2010) in which nurses were seen as valuable members  of the health care team, providing a valuable service.
It was also revealed that majority (75%) of respondents agree that nursing profession provide security of employment and steady income and receive excellent medical benefits and because of the nursing field is experiencing a growing shortage of those who prove themselves as excellent registered nurses can enjoy a high level of job security, promotion opportunities and competition benefits among other perks.
72% of the respondents beliefs that nursing is a female profession while 28% were of the contrary belief which is in line with bartfay e tal, (2010) who revealed from his findings that nursing profession is regarded as a career more suitable for female than male and this was revealed from a research carried out in university of Ontario Canada.
72% of respondent would like to be a nurses while 28% will not, This finds it support from Ogunyewo et al (2015) who stated on their study that 46.25% of the respondent would consider nursing as a career. Al-Kandari and lew (2006) also lends support to this finding as their study carried out in Kuwait show that 19% of female high school student interviewed were considered nursing as a career
On a general note, respondent had a positive perception of nursing
The study indicates that 40% of respondents that chose nursing were influenced by their mother as the most influential factor in making a career choice, other influencing factor such as father 23%, friends 5%, school career coucellor17% and self 5% this agree with Sawitrch et al (2012) that found that families, mentors, peers and role model influence career choice among adolescent, And Ahmed Alasweda et al (2009) in their study proof that advice from family, friend, school career master and nurses and interaction with student already enrolled in a nursing education program were found to be common major influencing agent for a student is image of the nursing profession and career choice.
Majority (93%) agree that their culture support nursing career. this is in consonance with the study of Kats, (2007) that opportunity to contribute to the health of One’s culture and be reflective of one’s cultural group has been a recognized motivator in the decision to choose nursing.
