Recommendations
Based on the findings of this study, the following recommendations are made.
1. Parents should always set their wards on the right track, by being a role model and showing them love, as this will enhance behaviour modification.
2. Teachers should use good methods of teaching in the class. They should also be effective and functional as guidance and counsellors to the students while in school.
3. The school should also get good learning facilities and a conducive environmental. A crowded classroom will always promote indiscipline.
4. The society should ensure that achievements are measured by commitment and capability not with influence or material wealth.
5. It is most important that the curriculum relates and adequate takes care of the entire societal aspirations. “Any society whose educational system is careless about the need of the society is doomed†(Yaroson, 2004).
6. Media programmes shown on T.V, satellites should be educative not corruptive.
7. Parents/guardian should know the kind of friends their wards keep and advice them to keep good company.
Suggestions for further studies
As earlier discussed in the scope and limitation of this study, this research is limited to six selected schools in Kabba/Bunu Local Government Area of Kogi State.
1. Study should be carried out in other local governments or states to ascertain the factors responsible for youths or teenagers acts of delinquencies.
2. An intensive study can be carried out to find out the perception of students and parents on causes of indiscipline.
3. Other variables that could not be worked upon during this findings should be looked into.
