      RESEARCH METHODOLOGY
      3.1    Introduction
This chapter deals with the method and procedure employed to carry out this study specifically, it focuses on the following:
      3.2    Research design:
The researchers used descriptive researcher design. The method was found appropriate for the study because it involves a systematic investigation into the relationship that exist between learning environment and pupil’s Academic Performance in Ado-Odo Ota Local Government Area of Ogun State.
3.3    Population, Sample and Sampling Techniques:
The population for this study consists of the entire primary schools in Ado-Odo Local Government Area of Ogun State
      3.4    Sample and Sampling Techniques
The researchers made use of simple random sampling techniques to select 10 primary Schools in Ado- Odo Ota Local Government Area of Ogun State. One teacher was randomly selected from each of the primary schools and in all a total of 10 respondents were drawn from the 10 primary schools for this study.
      3.5    Instrumentation:
The major instrument of data collection for this study will be a questionnaire. A structured questionnaire with relevant items will be used to gather data for the study. Therefore, the instrument will be developed by the researcher and will be titled.
Learning Environment and pupil’s academic performance Questionnaire:
(L.E .A. P .A..P Q). In this regard, the questionnaire was divided in to two sections.
Section A, which is to collect demographic data of the respondent such as: school name, sex, length, of service, and qualification. The section B is the main body of the instrument which houses items relating to the subject matter under investigation.it will Comprise 20 items on learning environment. The items would be based on two (2) point Like scale of Yes or No. The respondents would tick as appropriate for the item or statement given.
In validating the instrument, the draft instrument will be given to the researcher’s project supervisor, other lecturers within and outside the Department of primary Education studies as well as expert in the field of research measurement and evaluation. Suggestion and Correction will be made on some of the items, which would be used to fine tune the final outcome of the draft questionnaire.
Reliability refers to the degree of consistency of scores obtained by the same person when examined with the same test on different occasions.it is the accuracy, consistency and stability or dependability of a measuring instrument or score obtained.in Order to determine the reliability of instrument, split half using cronbanch Alpha procedure will be administered twice within an interval of two weeks and the scores obtained would be corrected to establish the degree of reliability.
      3.6     Procedure for data collection:
In this research study, copies of questionnaires were personally administered by the researcher to the teachers of selected primary schools both private and public schools in Ado-Odo-Ota Local Government Area of Ogun State to ensure effective responses. 10 copies of questionnaires were administered and collection by the researcher from the respondents.
      3.7 Data analysis technique:
The data Analysis are frequency count and simple percentage were used to analysis the personal information provided by respondents. In analyzing the hypothesis formulated for this study, analysis of Vacancy was adopted.

CHAPTER FOUR - [ Total Page(s): 9 ]Table 4.6 shows that the four indices of physical learning environment (physical space, equipment, health, safety and beauty) jointly have positive relationship with the pupils’ performance (R = .902). The coefficient of determinant indicates that the four indices of physical learning environment jointly contributed 81.3% of the total variance in the dependent variable, that is, pupils’ performance (Adjusted R2 x 100 = 81.3). This joint contribution of the indices of physical learn ... Continue reading---
