The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of local government on rural Infrastructural development in Huriwa district Mogadishu of Somalia. The study was guided by Diffusion Theory. The study problem was the fact that poor rural infrastructural development is hindering Huriwa district growth in Mogadishu Somalia, and this happens due to unfavourable Local government policies to the people., Somalia.
The conclusions of the study included; development of transportation infrastructure fosters growth and enhances the contribution of local government in promoting a more equitable distribution of transport infrastructure assets and services including their accessibility, the local government of Huriwa district should make sure that there is minimal working fees being paid by the local community, whereby the sewerage will be able to be collected from different places where the local government authority can effectively makes sewage for final disposal and the local government is required to reduce connection costs through tariff design or direct subsidies built in payment plan favoring the poor and increase range of electric service providers to avail consumers with choice.
