ABSRACT - [ Total Page(s): 1 ]Phytochemical and antimicrobial screening analysis of Mangifera indica and Carica papaya indicated the presence of alkaloid, saponin, flavonoid, steroid, tannin, phenol and glycoside. Extract of Mangifera indica and Carica papaya were investigated for their antimicrobial activities. The ethanolic extract produced zone of inhibition higher in diameter than aqueous extract against Escherichia coli, Pseudomonas spp, Staphylococcus spp, Streptococcus spp and salmonella spp. ...
