Students Perception Of Practical Agricultural Science In Senior Secondary Schools

Based on perception of agricultural practical being meant for rural schools alone,31( 77.5%) of male and 34( 85% )of female students disagreed with the statement which shows that both of them belief that practical agricultural science is meant for both rural and urban schools.
Generally on the perception of students towards practical agricultural science from the Table 4.1 it shows that students have a positive perception of practical agricultural science.
Research Question 2
Does gender differences has any significant effect on student attitude towards practical agricultural science.
Table 2 presents responses on attitude of senior secondary school student towards practical agricultural science in the study area. The results presented in the table shows that 35(87.5%) of female students and 25(62.5%) male student disagreed that they like agricultural science because it is been referred to as male subject, while15(37.5%) of male and 5(12.5% )of female students agreed with the statement which show that lower percentage of both male and female students like the subject because it has been referred to as male subject while a larger percentage of the two classes disagreed with the questionnaire item
In respect to attending practical agricultural classes 3(7.5% ) of male and 5(12.5%) of female students agreed that they don’t like attending agricultural practical classes while 37( 92.5% ) of male and 35(87.5%) of female students disagreed with the statement which is an indication that both male and female have a positive attitude toward practical agricultural science.
