FinalProject On Route Surveying Programme:NDII
1. Task:You required to carry out a route survey of the stretch of road from Oriawo along Ogbomoso road, Oyo to School of Science, Sabo-Oyo town and thereafter produce your plans in manual and digital form.Note:At the site students should ensure that they do not create problem for themselves or for the School.
2. Equipment: Students are to collect standard stores for the project task from the School’s store. Students should be able to know the equipment or instruments needed for this survey job. Refer to your theory,please.
3. Instructions:
(i) Ensure you perform and document your test of instrument in the field book. Also recorded the number of instrument used.
(ii) Do reconnaissance exercise of the route and carry out a third order theodolite traverse in order to capture the existing road and other details by adequate survey method. You should observe horizontal circle readings at every change of direction on one zero of face left and face right observation. Measure traverse distances with Electronic Distant Measurement (EDM) instrument. Apply corrections to your distance measurements.
(iii) Also from a reconnaissance exercise,you create points on the profile at 30m interval. Create the cross-section points at 7.5m and 15m to the right and left on the profile respectively. Height the centre line and cross-section points by a flying leveling procedure of observation. Set the centre line by compass survey technique.
(iv) Personally process your field data. Your computation should include volume calculation by end-area method.
(v) Personally present your processed data:(a) a plan of the horizontal alignment and details, (b) a plan of profile at a convenient horizontal and vertical scale. Provide good lettering on your plans. Clearly indicate your names and matriculation number on your plan, please.
(vi) Personally write a good project report in line with project guideline in simple past tense.

(iv) Binded project report
(v) CD of project report.
